The Basic State Prosecutor's Office (ODT) in Pljevlja has opened a case regarding the accident on Savin Kuk in which a German citizen was killed and another German citizen was injured.

"The on-site investigation began on December 20.12, 2025 and ended on December 21.12, 2025 in the presence of a mechanical expert, and the cause of the accident will be determined after the expert reports are completed. The people who were on the cable car at the time of the accident were evacuated immediately after the conditions for their safe evacuation were met," the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Pljevlja said in a statement.

The Police Directorate's statement states that officers from the Žabljak Security Department, by order and in coordination with the ODT in Pljevlja, are taking measures and actions to shed light on the incident.

"In the investigative measures and actions taken so far, led by the state prosecutor, police officers have collected information from several responsible persons and employees at the Savin Kuk Ski Center, seized the necessary documentation, and appropriate expert assessments have been ordered," the police announced.

As it is added, the state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Pljevlja has opened a case regarding this event.
