Police conducted searches at 12 locations in the south of the country - two people were arrested, and drugs, money and two vehicles were seized.
"Over the past two days, police officers from the Regional Security Center 'South' have carried out planned activities within their jurisdiction and conducted searches of apartments and other facilities at 12 locations, as well as intensified controls on members of organized crime groups, persons of operational interest and those close to them, and found and seized cocaine, marijuana, money, as well as two vehicles," the Police Directorate announced.
N.Đ. (26) was arrested in Ulcinj.
"During a search of the premises used by N.Đ. (26) in Ulcinj, the police found and seized 27 small PVC packages containing a substance suspected of being the narcotic drug cocaine, weighing 14,1 grams, then a PVC package containing a substance suspected of being the narcotic drug marijuana, weighing a total of 12,8 grams, a crusher, a scale for precise measurement, as well as packaging bags, and money in the amount of 2.300 euros. Also, an Audi A6 passenger motor vehicle was temporarily seized for appropriate checks," the statement reads.
N.Đ. was arrested on suspicion of committing a criminal offense - unauthorized production, possession and distribution of narcotic drugs.
In Kotor, the police, during a search of the apartment and other premises used by DP, found a small amount of marijuana, and a misdemeanor charge was filed against him for a violation of the Law on the Prevention of Drug Abuse.
Ž.M. (43) was arrested in Bar, and police say he is listed as a person of operational interest in their records.
He was arrested for a violation of the Road Traffic Safety Act, after testing revealed that he was driving under the influence of cocaine and benzodiazepines. The car he was driving was temporarily seized from him, as it had license plates that were found to belong to another vehicle.
In this way, Ž.M. is suspected of committing the criminal offense of forgery and criminal charges will be filed against him.
"Officers of the Police Directorate continue to implement increased activities and controls of persons in order to combat drug abuse and dismantle networks of street dealers, all in order to protect the safety of citizens and their health," the statement reads.
