The Berane police have filed criminal charges against three people suspected of illegally constructing structures in the Biogradska Gora National Park (NP) zone, the Police Directorate announced.
It is alleged that police officers initially filed criminal charges against unknown perpetrators.
"And after that, special reports as supplements to the criminal reports when the persons were identified were submitted to the state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Berane against M. Š., MP and RV from Berane, on suspicion that they committed the criminal offense of building a building without a report and construction documentation," the statement added.
It is suspected that M. Š. built two weekend houses, measuring five by four and five by three meters, in July 2022, in the Biogradska gora National Park zone.
"MP is suspected of building a 2,5 by 3 meter structure at the same location in June 2023, while RV built a 7 by 6,4 meter structure in the same area," the police said.
They stated that they had also informed the competent inspection services about this, so that they could take actions within their jurisdiction to remove the objects.
