In the territory of Budva, intensified activities are underway to control persons of security interest, members of high-risk organized crime groups and persons associated with them, who are being searched by the police in a continuation of the operation in which Nikola Boljević (24) from Podgorica was arrested last night, suspected of killing Simo Marković (52) in that coastal town on December 30 last year.
This was told to "Vijesti" unofficially by the Police Directorate, adding that in continuation of last night's activities in Spuž and Podgorica, searches are being conducted in the territory of the Budva municipality.
"The searches are aimed at members of organized crime groups and persons of operational interest," they told "Vijesti".
Police are searching the house of a Budva resident who is connected to a Kavkaz criminal clan and who was arrested six months ago for illegal possession of weapons. As "Vijesti" has learned unofficially, the Budva resident was not at the family home when the police knocked on the door.
Boljević, who according to police information is a member of the Kavača criminal clan, was arrested last night in Spuž.
During a search of the apartment where he was hiding, the police found a gun and about half a kilogram of cocaine.
In the same operation, police arrested his son-in-law Miloš Causevic (36) last night, after they found 14 PVC packages of cocaine during a search of his apartment.
The suspect in the murder of a Budva resident was released from the pre-trial detention center in mid-September last year, after being released to defend himself from charges of attempted murder in February 2025, in Podgorica.
