Police arrested BP (55) from Podgorica on suspicion of loan sharking.
He is suspected of having lent the injured party 50.000 euros, and that the injured party paid him a total of 170.000 euros in interest.
The Police Directorate announced that, acting on the report of the injured party, their police officers solved the criminal offense and, by order of the state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, deprived the suspect BP of his liberty.
"BP is suspected of committing this criminal offense by taking advantage of the poor economic situation and necessity of the injured party and lending him money in the amount of 50.000 euros, thereby agreeing to a disproportionate material gain, whereby the injured party, based on interest, paid the suspect BP a total of 170.000 euros, whereby the suspect gained unlawful material gain," the Police Directorate announced.
It is added that, upon the order of the prosecutor, criminal charges were filed against BP at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica on suspicion that he committed the aforementioned criminal offense.
