The Berane police arrested a person of operational interest, Aleksa Ćorca (35), suspected of street drug trafficking.
Ćorac, as "Vijesti" was told by the Police Directorate, is a member of Marko Zekić's organized crime group.
Čorac is suspected of committing the crime he is charged with by selling cocaine to a person from Berane.
Within the legal deadline, the police announced, Ćorac will be brought before the acting prosecutor at the Higher State Prosecutor's Office for further jurisdiction, along with a criminal report.
Zekić, who is on the run, and Miomir Đukić were sentenced in the first instance in May last year to long-term prison sentences of 40 years each for the murders of Nemanja Prelević and Danilo Peković in Veruša on October 17, 2020, and 15 years each for the attempted murder of Sujković Kenan, Sujković Ismet, and Kastrat Mirza in Berane in November 2021.
The police in Berane have also filed two requests to initiate misdemeanor proceedings against VV (36) and DD (23) for violations of the Law on the Prevention of Drug Abuse.
