Tivat police have filed a criminal complaint against SJ (18) from Kotor on suspicion that he provided police officers with a driver's license in someone else's name, the Police Directorate (PD) announced today.
As stated in the statement, he is charged with the criminal offense of forging a document.
"Police officers from the Regional Security Center 'South', Tivat Security Department, stopped and checked the driver SJ (18) from Kotor in the town of Solila, who was driving a VW Golf that he had previously purchased from a person from Podgorica. During the check, SJ gave the police officers a traffic license in the name of DV, which had license plates that did not match the license plates displayed on the vehicle that this person was driving," the UP statement said.
The police added that in the official premises of the Tivat Security Department, information was collected from SJ for the record on the given circumstances, and the prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Kotor was informed of the event, who stated that the actions of SJ constitute elements of the criminal offense of forgery of a document.
