The cooperation and relations between the State Prosecutor's Office of Montenegro and the institutions of the United States of America during the mandate of Ambassador Judy Rising Reinke were marked by openness, mutual respect and constructive dialogue, with a shared commitment to strengthening the rule of law and institutional stability.
This was announced after a meeting between the Supreme State Prosecutor Milorad Marković and the Chief Special Prosecutor Vladimir Novović from the Rising Rhine, on the occasion of the end of her mandate.
Marković, it is stated, particularly emphasized the exceptional role and personal dedication of Rising Rheinka to strengthening judicial institutions in Montenegro, as well as its continuous contribution to improving the rule of law.
"Strong support for reform processes, strengthening the independence of institutions and improving professional standards in the judiciary has left a lasting mark on Montenegro's efforts to build a stable, efficient and credible institutional framework based on democratic values and internationally recognized standards," said Marković.
Novović pointed out the importance of the strong and continuous support of the United States of America to the work of the Special State Prosecutor's Office, especially in the area of combating organized crime and corruption.
He emphasized that this cooperation was of key importance for strengthening operational and institutional capacities, improving international cooperation, as well as applying modern investigative techniques and methods in handling the most complex and demanding cases, which further strengthened the efficiency and integrity of the prosecutorial system.
"Progress in the fight against all types of crime, supported through the US government's continued cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office, contributes to the improved functioning of the Montenegrin justice system," said Rising Reinke.
The statement also states that the interlocutors expressed their belief that successful cooperation between the Prosecutor's Office of Montenegro and American institutions will continue after the end of Rising Reinke's mandate, based on shared democratic values, mutual trust and strategic partnership.
