The Basic State Prosecutor's Office (ODT) in Pljevlja has filed a request to initiate misdemeanor proceedings against the mayor of that municipality, Dario Vraneš, for an offensive comment he made to the director of the Center for Investigative Reporting (CIN), Milka Tadić Mijović.
In early December, commenting on Tadić Mijović's statement, Vraneš wrote on the social network Instagram, "Tell me, grandma, are you a witch? I am, prince, there's no point in hiding it."

The Pljevlja ODT announced that a request to initiate misdemeanor proceedings against Vraneš was submitted to the Bijelo Polje Misdemeanor Court - Pljevlja Department, for violations under the Law on the Prohibition of Discrimination.
"The defendant DV is charged with harassing the injured party MT M, director of CIN Montenegro, on December 4, as a responsible person in a local government body, via the social network Instagram, by writing an offensive and humiliating comment on her position expressed in the DV text," the statement says.
It is alleged that this resulted in a violation of the personal dignity of the injured party, a feeling of humiliation and insult, as well as the creation of a humiliating and offensive environment towards her.
