Two drivers from the video posted on social media, who were driving in the opposite direction on Luča Boulevard in Podgorica on January 13, have been identified as MP (54) and IJ (60), and requests have been filed against them to initiate misdemeanor proceedings, the Police Directorate announced.
As reported, at around 15 pm that day, they were driving down the boulevard in the opposite direction on a section of the road where the traffic lanes are physically separated, thereby endangering other road users.
The "VW Passat" vehicle, with Podgorica license plates, was driven by MP from Podgorica, and IJ from Budva was driving the "VW Passat" vehicle, with Nikšić license plates.
Traffic police officers filed a request with the Minor Offense Court in Podgorica to initiate misdemeanor proceedings against them for committing a misdemeanor under Article 318, paragraph 1, item 3 of the Law on Road Traffic Safety, the police said in a statement.
