The police in Ulcinj have conducted increased traffic and catering controls in the last 24 hours. Due to a violation of the Road Traffic Safety Act, a person of operational interest DE (30) from Ulcinj was sanctioned, from whom a Mini Countryman vehicle was temporarily seized for further checks in accordance with the law, while his fellow citizen and member of the organized crime group BI was given a misdemeanor sanction, the Police Directorate said.
"Police officers of the Ulcinj Security Department have conducted several local preventive and repressive actions in the past 24 hours, with the aim of controlling traffic participants and catering establishments on the territory of the municipality, preventing violations of public order and peace, violence, as well as finding illegal substances. Special emphasis was placed on controlling persons of operational interest and members of organized criminal groups. During the action to control traffic participants, 85 persons were controlled, 55 vehicles and drivers were inspected, and 29 warrants were issued, or misdemeanor reports were filed. Among the controlled persons, there were eight persons of operational interest, four of whom were sanctioned for committing misdemeanors," the police statement reads.
It is added that as part of local actions aimed at controlling freight vehicles and legal entities, several misdemeanor reports were filed and several orders were issued due to established irregularities, including providing a vehicle to a person under the influence of alcohol and not possessing the necessary equipment and devices.
"Uniform and criminal police officers, in cooperation with border police officers and using a service dog, conducted an intensified control of catering facilities. Special emphasis was placed on the control of persons of operational interest and members of organized crime groups, as well as on the control of serving alcohol to minors. On that occasion, two members of the OKG were controlled: DM from Bar and BI from Ulcinj, as well as one person of operational interest, EN from Bar," the statement said.
