Danilovgrad police conducted a search of RK (41) in the town of Jastreb, the Police Directorate (UP) announced today.
"Carrying out intensified and continuous activities to suppress illegal possession, confiscate illegal weapons and ammunition, as well as prevent the misuse of firearms, police officers of the Regional Security Center 'Centar' - Danilovgrad Security Department, conducted a targeted search of RK (41) in the town of Jastreb, Danilovgrad Municipality," the statement said.
On that occasion, as stated in the statement, a "Baikal" hunting rifle was found and seized from the person in question, as well as 17 pieces of 12 mm caliber ammunition.
"After collecting information and conducting consultations, the state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica ordered that RK be deprived of his liberty on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosives," the UP statement concluded.
