Magdalena Zečević, a judge of the Higher Court in Podgorica, was elected today before the Judicial Council as a judge of the Supreme Court of Montenegro.
The procedure was conducted following a public announcement for the selection of a judge of the Supreme Court of Montenegro, and interviews were also conducted with judges of the High Court Sonja Drašković, Milorad Marotić, Nenad Otašević and Aleksandar Stojanović.
Deciding upon a public announcement for the election of a judge of the Supreme Court of Montenegro, and in accordance with Article 38, paragraph 9 of the Law on the Judicial Council and Judges, the Council decided to elect Nerma Dobardžić, the former Deputy Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms of Montenegro.
The Judicial Council has determined the termination of the judicial office of Vesna Moštrokol, judge of the Court of Appeal of Montenegro, at her personal request.
"Based on the final proposal of the evaluations of the Center for Training in the Judiciary and the State Prosecutor's Office, during the theoretical and practical part of the initial training for selected candidates for judges of basic courts, the Council determined the evaluations for Ana Gačević, Dragan Miladinović, Julija Šoškić, Gordana Planinić, Igor Jušković, Marija Raković, Milica Krgović and Lidija Raičević. At the same time, decisions were made on the selection and assignment of: Ana Gačević as a judge of the Basic Court in Pljevlja; Igor Jušković and Lidija Raičević as judges of the Basic Court in Bijelo Polje; Dragan Miladinović and Milica Krgović as judges of the Basic Court in Podgorica; Gordana Planinić and Julija Šoškić as judges of the Basic Court in Bar and Marija Raković as judge of the Basic Court in Nikšić," the statement reads.
