The Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica ordered the detention of AC for up to 72 hours, due to reasonable suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of domestic violence or violence in the family community.
"It is suspected that on January 6, in a passenger vehicle, while leaving the parking lot behind the Church of the Resurrection of Christ in Podgorica, AC hit his emotional partner NV in the nose with a closed fist, after which, while driving along Moskovska Street, he steered the vehicle with one hand while hitting her several times with the other," the Podgorica Police Department said in a statement.
It is also suspected that, after stopping the vehicle on the side of the road, he grabbed NV by the neck with his hands and began to choke her.
