The Berane police filed a criminal complaint against BV from that city after they found a gun, ammunition and other items during a search of the apartment and other premises he uses.
"On this occasion, police officers found and seized a pistol with a frame, 110 rounds of ammunition, an initial primer, a detonator fuse, a rifle barrel and a gas mask," the Police Directorate announced.
The prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Berane stated that the seized items should be sent for appropriate expert examination at the Forensic Center of the Police Directorate, and that criminal charges should then be filed against BV on suspicion of committing a criminal offense - illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosives.
"Officers of the Police Directorate continue to carry out intensive activities aimed at suppressing violence and illegal possession of weapons, as one of the national priorities, and combating all forms of crime, all with the aim of raising the level of citizen security," the statement reads.
