Police officers in Tivat and Kotor have solved several property crime cases and filed criminal charges against five people, two of whom are already in the Directorate for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions, one has been arrested, and two have been charged in regular proceedings.
IN (25) from Cetinje was arrested on suspicion of stealing clothes from a store on January 19th.
"On January 20, Tivat police officers were notified that on January 15 and 19, thefts were committed at the expense of a retail facility located in Boka Place, during which the perpetrators stole clothing worth a total of almost 1.400 euros. Police officers undertook intensive activities to shed light on these events and came to suspect that the criminal act of theft on January 15 was committed by MR (23) and MD (23) from Podgorica, and criminal charges were filed against them in regular proceedings at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Kotor, at the order of the prosecutor, while IN (25) from Cetinje is suspected of the second theft committed on January 19 and he has been deprived of his liberty," the Police Directorate announced.
Part of the stolen clothing was found and returned to the owner.
"In addition, officers of the Kotor Security Department have filed a criminal complaint against two persons on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of aggravated theft in an extended period of time in complicity. It is suspected that AD (25) and GR (24) from Kosovo committed the criminal offense they are charged with by committing several thefts in the territory of Kotor in the early morning hours of January 12th, in the towns of Markov Rt and Prčanj, where they stole a passenger motor vehicle and money, while in the town of Pobrđe they stole another vehicle. Police officers located one stolen vehicle in the town of Pobrđe, and the other in Sutomore, and they were returned to their owners," the statement reads.
AD and GR are currently being held in the UIKS Remand Prison, on suspicion of having committed identical criminal acts in Bar, also on January 12th.
