Border Police Sector officers at the border crossings, Dobrakovo and Kula, discovered a stolen vehicle wanted by Interpol and a forged international driving license with a foreigner who was arrested.
The Police Directorate announced that today, at the Dobrakovo Border Crossing Point, border police officers checked a passenger motor vehicle, a BMW X6, with Podgorica license plates, driven by TS (52), a citizen of Montenegro.
"Checks through the border application determined that the vehicle was wanted by the Federal Republic of Germany through Interpol. The vehicle was seized and handed over to the Bijelo Polje Security Department for further action," the statement said.
It is alleged that on Friday, border police officers at the Kula Border Crossing checked MHA (43), a citizen of Saudi Arabia, who presented them with an international driving license stating that it was issued in that country.
It is added that border police officers suspected the authenticity of the international driving license, and through cooperation with Frontex officers, it was confirmed that it was a forged document.
"Further processing indicated suspicion that the person purchased a forged document in his own country. MHA was deprived of his liberty and will be brought before the state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Rožaje, with a criminal complaint, on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of forging a document," the police said.
