Budva police, in coordination with officers of the Interpol NCB Podgorica, located and arrested AI (54), a citizen of Russia, the Police Directorate (UP) announced today.
"AI is wanted on the basis of an international arrest warrant issued for him by the competent authorities of the Russian Federation, for the purpose of conducting criminal proceedings on suspicion of having committed three criminal offenses of fraud, committed by an organized group or on a particularly large scale, as well as three criminal offenses of legalization of funds or other property acquired through criminal offenses, committed by an organized group on a particularly large scale," the statement said.
The UP added that the investigating judge of the Higher Court in Podgorica imposed a surveillance measure on AI - an obligation to periodically report to the Budva police, along with the temporary seizure of his Russian passport.
