Podgorica police arrested three people on suspicion of committing the criminal offenses of robbery and aggravated theft, and among those arrested is a minor, the Police Directorate (UP) announced today.
The statement states that GD (29) from Podgorica was arrested on suspicion of committing robbery.
He is suspected of stealing 1.075 euros in sales from employees at a slot machine club at around 3:45 a.m. on January 24th, while threatening them with a knife.
"GD was taken to the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica with a criminal report, which, after questioning, ordered his detention," the statement reads.
The UP said that VM (46) from Podgorica was also arrested on suspicion of committing the crime of aggravated theft.
It is suspected that on January 28, at around 23:30 p.m., he used a suitable tool and physical force to break the glass of a kiosk and steal tobacco products and electronic cigarettes from it.
"While leaving the kiosk, he was caught by police officers from the Podgorica Security Department, who then caught up with him and deprived him of his liberty," the statement reads.
The Police Department also said that Podgorica police officers solved a criminal offense from a previous period and arrested a 17-year-old minor on suspicion of committing the crime of aggravated theft to the detriment of a company from Podgorica.
He is suspected of stealing a Samsung mobile phone from a dental office in December 2022, using a suitable means, and then stealing goods worth around 350 euros and two pairs of Samsung headphones from a supermarket and pet food store.
