UP: Around 900 tobacco products and more than 79 liters of alcoholic beverages without excise stamps seized

Nikšić police seized around 900 tobacco products and more than 79 liters of alcoholic beverages without excise stamps yesterday, and filed criminal charges against two people, the Police Directorate (UP) announced today.

The statement states that police officers searched four locations in the Nikšić area yesterday.

"During these activities, police officers searched the apartment and passenger motor vehicle used by RZ (43), as well as a commercial facility owned by Ž.Ž. (38). On that occasion, 780 pieces of handmade cigarettes, 119 packs of various types of cigarettes with Kosovo excise stamps, and 79,2 liters of alcoholic beverages without excise stamps and declarations of origin were found and seized," the statement said.

The Police Department said that after a criminal investigation, Nikšić police officers, at the order of the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Nikšić, filed criminal charges against the aforementioned individuals on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of illicit trafficking.
