Criminal charges have been filed against the former head of the Directorate at the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights, Mirjana Pajković, on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of coercion against the former director of the National Security Agency (ANB) and security advisor to the President of the Republic, Dejan Vukšić.
Vukšić filed a complaint against Pajković at the end of March 2025.
"Namely, after the police and prosecutorial measures and actions taken, the criminal investigation carried out, and the analysis of all collected evidence, police officers, upon the order of the state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, filed a criminal complaint against MP on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of coercion, to the detriment of DV," the Police Directorate said in a statement.
It is added that there is reasonable suspicion that Pajković committed the aforementioned criminal offense by taking the injured party's mobile phone on October 10, 2024, without his consent:
"After which she sent several offensive photos and messages from the same device to people known to the injured party, creating the false impression that the said messages and photos were sent by the injured party DV personally, thereby violating his reputation and privacy. After the aforementioned event, the injured party contacted MP by phone and on that occasion sent her words of offensive content, which MP, with the intention of using them as a means of pressure and coercion, secretly audio-recorded. MP then delivered the said audio-recording to the injured party on 20. 3. 2025, via the 'Signal' application, along with words of threatening content and an explicit request to withdraw his candidacy for the position of judge of the Constitutional Court, thereby causing a feeling of fear and pressure in the injured party," the police announced.
Note: In the first version of the article, the headline incorrectly stated that Pajković was sending messages to herself. We apologize for the unintentional error.
