An international arrest warrant has also been activated for fugitive former special prosecutor Lidija Mitrović.
The name Mitrović has been active in the Interpol system since last night, after the Police Directorate (UP) and the Ministry of Justice completed the procedure for the international search, it was unofficially announced to "Vijesti".
At the end of May last year, the former special state prosecutor was sentenced to seven months in prison for abuse of office in the "Klap" case.
The police announced yesterday that they were taking measures and actions to find and bring in former special state prosecutor Lidija Mitrović, who did not voluntarily report to serve her prison sentence. Later, when suspicions arose that Mitrović had absconded, the Police Directorate (PD) said that she was not subject to the obligation of the PD officers to act until the Basic Court in Podgorica issued an order for her forcible bringing in.
The President of the Basic Court in Podgorica, Željka Jovović, told "Vijesti" yesterday that the Police Directorate received an order from the Basic Court in Podgorica on January 19th for the forcible detention of Lidija Mitrović, and from that day until February 2nd, police officers searched for the convicted former special prosecutor at known addresses in order to send her to serve her seven-month prison sentence.
