S. Č. (31) from Nikšić was arrested on suspicion of setting fire to a vehicle in November last year, the Police Directorate announced today.
The statement states that S. Č. is a multiple repeat offender.
"Acting on a report dated 13.11.2025 that a fire broke out in a 'VW Passat' vehicle, owned by a natural person, in a parking lot in Nikšić, in the early morning hours, police officers took a series of operational-tactical and evidentiary measures and actions, and identified S. Č. (31) from Nikšić, a multiple returnee in committing the same and other criminal offenses, as the perpetrator," the statement states.
The UP added that S. Č. is suspected of using fire accelerator and a suitable means to cause a fire in the vehicle, after which he fled.
"The acting prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Nikšić was informed about the measures and actions taken, upon whose order S. Č. was deprived of liberty on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of destruction and damage to another's property. After questioning, the competent state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Nikšić ordered the suspect to be detained for up to 72 hours," the statement reads.
