Podgorica police have processed eight people for 11 property crime offenses committed in the past month and a half in Podgorica, seven of whom were arrested on suspicion of committing criminal offenses - robbery, two robberies, four aggravated thefts, three thefts and vehicle theft.

The statement states that Albanian citizen M. Dž (30) was arrested on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of robbery, to the detriment of a Russian citizen.

"It is suspected that M. Dž. physically attacked the injured party in Skaline in Podgorica and on that occasion stole a purse from him containing a mobile phone, money, bank cards, apartment key and personal documents. The suspect then continued the physical attack and stole two rings from the injured party's hand, after which he left the scene," the statement reads.

The Police Department added that Podgorica police officers arrested D. Š. (32) on suspicion of committing the crime of robbery.

"It is suspected that D. Š., after stealing several items from a supermarket in Podgorica, physically attacked an employee who tried to prevent him from stealing the stolen goods, during which the suspect struck him several times in the head," the statement reads.

The UP also stated that police officers arrested two people, one of whom is a minor, on suspicion of committing robbery.

"The suspect Š.B. (28) and a 15-year-old minor are suspected of physically assaulting a security guard at a commercial facility at the end of January 2026, after they tried to steal metal and copper profiles weighing about 300 kilograms, with a market value of over 1.000 euros," the UP said.

The statement says that criminal charges will be filed against the minor (15), on suspicion of committing four aggravated thefts.

"The suspect, as is suspected, took advantage of the unlocking of a vehicle in mid-January 2026 and ransacked it, but did not steal anything from the vehicle, while at the end of January 2026 he broke the glass on a vehicle and stole money in the amount of 250 euros. Also, at the beginning of February 2026 the suspect ransacked the premises of the mosque in Milješ, damaging a box with charitable donations from which he failed to steal money. On that day, the theft of a mobile phone from the same mosque was also reported, which was found and returned to the owner, and for which criminal offense the aforementioned minor is also suspected," the statement reads.

The UP also said that the Podgorica police arrested two minors, aged 15 and 16, on suspicion of committing three thefts.

"Namely, it is suspected that at the end of December 2025, they together committed the crime of theft against a retail facility in Cetinje, during which they stole various technical devices. Also, at the end of January 2026, a sixteen-year-old minor is suspected of stealing products worth around 400 euros from a retail facility in Cetinje," the UP said.

The institution states that police officers arrested NM (25) on suspicion of committing the crime of vehicle theft.

"It is suspected that NM committed this criminal offense to the detriment of a person from Podgorica, by stealing a motorcycle owned by the injured party in front of a catering facility, after which he left the scene. Police officers found the motorcycle and returned it to the owner. The persons deprived of their liberty will be brought to the competent state prosecutor, with criminal charges, on suspicion of having committed the aforementioned criminal offenses," the UP said.
