Bjelopolje BL was ordered to be detained for up to 72 hours for the criminal offense of domestic violence or family violence, the Basic State Prosecutor's Office (ODT) in Bijelo Polje announced.
It is alleged that the Bijelo Polje police submitted a criminal report against BL to the prosecutor's office, which gives rise to a reasonable suspicion that he committed the crime.
As the ODT said, the criminal report and the evidence provided indicate a reasonable suspicion that on Friday, at around 14:30 p.m., BL, while intoxicated, endangered the safety of his common-law wife in the presence of the child in the family apartment.
BL, as stated in the report, cursed at his common-law wife, broke the glass on the balcony door and the living room window with his fist, and damaged the bathroom door with kicks and punches.
"When the victim called the police, he threatened her: "Call them, I'll kill you in front of them," and then left the apartment, only to send her several threatening messages over the phone," the statement said.
It is added that the state prosecutor, after questioning the suspect, issued a decision ordering his detention for up to 72 hours.
