Goran Slovinić from Budva claims that the allegations that he is a loan shark and a member of the "Budvanska" criminal group are absolutely false, stating that this criminal group does not even exist, but was invented by para-police structures from the DPS period.
He reacted to the article "Kelmendi, Osmani, Skaljar and Kavača moneylenders: Usury in Montenegro (10)".
"In the text on the 'Vijesti' portal and the daily newspaper 'Vijesti', I am labeled as a member of a criminal organization and as someone who engages in loan sharking. These allegations are absolutely false and are the fruit of a construction by a couple of police criminal structures formed during the DPS era with the aim of dealing with political dissenters. In addition to the allegations that I am a loan shark, it was announced that I am a member of the 'Budvanska' criminal group. This non-existent group was invented by former high-ranking officials of the police and special prosecutor's office who ended up in prison.
They included me in it as an opponent of the Budva regime in order to create a framework for the police to monitor, follow and influence my actions with the ultimate goal of eliminating me from social life. It is obvious that the tentacles of their criminal octopus are still alive and active.
Unfortunately, it is clear that even today the police are working according to fake notes of former high-ranking police and prosecutorial officials and that certain structures within the police still receive orders from them. In the last seven days alone, I have been controlled four times by the PJP, which indicates the intention to frame me for a criminal offense, together with the media campaign that has been launched. I have also informed the Minister of Police Danilo Šaranović about this police torture. I ask him again to check whether I am involved in crime, and if I am, to announce it publicly. I accept even a remote suspicion, because if I were involved in crime, I would be prosecuted.
I reject the allegations in the 'Vijesti' article that I am a moneylender as false and disgusting. I have never in my life given anyone a single euro at interest, nor do I engage in any kind of crime. I am ready that if someone from Budva, Montenegro or anywhere is found to have given them money at interest, I will immediately confess to the crime and go to serve my sentence. I am also ready to undergo a polygraph examination.
Given that I value the 'Vijesti' portal and the daily newspapers, I will not file a lawsuit against you, but these newspaper headlines of yours are very dangerous and designed to endanger the lives and cause irreparable damage to the reputation and honor of people like me, who are neither guilty nor obligated to find themselves in an article accusing me of acts with which I have never had anything to do in my life. I have four children who I do not want to leave the burden of their father being a loan shark around their necks.
The whole of Budva knows that I don't deal in usury. The police know very well who deals in usury in Budva, who these groups are and what structures in the municipality and the state they are connected to.
"Given that you have not applied the basic rule of the journalistic profession, to contact me in the case of these falsified allegations, I ask that you contact me in the future in order to receive my statement and comment on the aforementioned accusations," Slovinić wrote.
