The trial of the defendants Strahinja Koprivica, Igor Krstović, Blaž Đurković, Nikola Vukotić and Marinko Koprivica, accused of drug trafficking, is scheduled to continue today at the Higher Court in Podgorica before a special panel presided over by Judge Boris Bulatović.
However, the trial was adjourned after Igor Krstović fell ill in the courtroom.
The High Court security responded and called an ambulance. The medical team soon arrived and provided him with first aid in the courtroom.
At the trial in September 2025, all defendants denied the allegations in the indictment.
Strahinja Koprivica then stated that he did not organize or form a criminal group. He said in his defense that he did not use the Skype application. The accused Nikola Vukotić also denied guilt.
"As for drugs, I didn't participate in it for a single cent," Vukotić pointed out.
Defendant Igor Krstović said in his defense that he did not know the defendants.
"I don't know these people. I haven't used the SKY app. I don't have the strength to talk, I'm really sick and have health problems. I don't even have the strength to stand. I have no human right to seek treatment," said Krstović.
His defense attorney, Danilo Mićović, confirmed that Krstović's health condition is seriously endangered.
The accused Marinko Koprivica said that he did not belong to any criminal organization and that he did not use SKY and that he did not participate in smuggling.
The accused Blažo Đurković also pleaded not guilty in court in September 2025.
