The Budva police arrested NM (33) from Nikšić and ND (35) from Pljevlja, who were driving through the center of Budva while under the influence of drugs in the morning and afternoon hours the day before yesterday.
They were brought to the Budva Misdemeanor Court with misdemeanor charges, where they were fined 1.800 and 1.500 euros in two separate proceedings, as confirmed to "Vijesti" by the President of the Court, Marko Đukanović.
As "Vijesti" was told, the Budva police stopped an "Audi" on the Adriatic Road at around 9 am the day before yesterday, driven by NM from Nikšić.
During the police control, he refused to submit to testing for the presence of narcotics and other psychoactive substances, as ordered by authorized police officers of the Budva Police Department.
By doing so, he committed a violation of the Road Traffic Safety Act, and the Court fined him 1.800 euros and banned him from driving for four days.
On the same day, at around 13 pm, a police patrol stopped a Golf driven by ND from Pljevlja on the Adriatic Road. He was subjected to testing using means and methods for determining the presence of psychoactive substances, and the test showed the presence of the psychoactive substance THC (cannabis).
By doing so, he committed a violation of the Road Traffic Safety Act, and the Court imposed a fine of 1.500 euros and a protective measure of a ban on driving motor vehicles for a period of four months.
