Cetinjan IN (25) was found guilty and given a single fine of 2.000 euros for driving under the influence of drugs despite being banned from driving.
This decision, as confirmed to "Vijesti" by the president of the Budva Minor Offences Court, was made today by Judge Magdalena Mijić.
A Cetinje resident was detained by Budva police at around 1 a.m. because it was determined that he was driving a Renault while drugged.
"He was subjected to testing using means and methods to determine the presence of psychoactive substances - the test showed the presence of the psychoactive substances cocaine and amphetamine, thereby committing a violation of the Road Traffic Safety Act," Vijesti was told.
The police also determined that the Cetinjanin resident was driving a passenger motor vehicle during the period of the protective measure of prohibition on driving a motor vehicle, which was imposed on him on October 14 last year for a period of four months, thus committing a violation of the Law on Road Traffic Safety.
The court fined him 1.500 euros for the first offense, and 500 euros for the second, making the total fine 2.000 euros.
