Former director of the Property Administration Blažo Šaranović was arrested this morning on the orders of the Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT), "Vijesti" has learned.
Šaranović is suspected of abuse of official position.
As confirmed to "Vijesti", the well-known builder Duško Krcun Radunović, owner of the company "Stan projekt", was arrested in Budva.
Officers from the Special Police Department also arrested Branko Danilović, a public procurement officer at the Property Administration.

The SDT announced this morning that SPO officers, on the orders of the prosecutor's office, are conducting an operation in Budva and Podgorica. They explained at the time that urgent evidentiary actions and arrests are underway.
"By order of the Special State Prosecutor's Office, the Special Police Department is carrying out urgent evidentiary actions against several persons in Podgorica and Budva, due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that they have committed criminal acts of abuse of official position. After completing the evidentiary actions being taken and questioning the persons deprived of their liberty as suspects, the Special State Prosecutor's Office will inform the public about their results and the decision on the further course of the proceedings," the prosecutor's office, headed by Chief Special Prosecutor Vladimir Novović, announced this morning.
Šaranović is also a member of the Main Board of the Democratic Party of Socialists, and has been in the state system for over 15 years - in 2005 he was appointed Assistant Director of the Administration for Joint Affairs of State Bodies, and then in 2012 he took over the management of the Property Administration.
He was removed from that position at the beginning of January 2021. While he was the director of the Property Administration, Šaranović also managed the "Iskra" Football Club from Danilovgrad.
Šaranović was at the helm of "Iskra" for seven years, became a member of the First League and made his debut in European competitions during that time...
At the end of 2023, the Special Police Department (SPO) was investigating a suspicious contract worth almost nine million euros, which the former Property Administration, headed by Blažo Šaranović, signed with the company "Koti Nekretnine" in the summer of 2020. The space was purchased, among other things, for the needs of the Statistical Office (Monstat).
A few months before it was sold to the state, the owner of 5.600 square meters in the center of Podgorica was the company "Volvox".
"Vijesti" does not yet have confirmation as to whether the SDT investigation and this morning's arrest in Podgorica and Budva are related to that case.
