Ulcinj resident MB was arrested after police found bombs, a pistol with a sanded serial number, and ammunition during a search of her house and auxiliary facilities in the town of Totoši, the Police Directorate announced.
"Carrying out intensified and continuous activities to suppress illegal possession, as well as prevent the misuse of firearms, ammunition and explosives, police officers from the Ulcinj Security Department, acting on a court order, conducted a search of a house and auxiliary facilities used by MB from Ulcinj in the town of Totoši. During the search, two M70 and M57 hand grenades were found and seized, which was reported to the state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Ulcinj, as well as officers from the Protection and Rescue Directorate, for the purpose of safely seizing explosive devices. A further search of the house, with the assistance of border police officers, found a CZ pistol with a polished serial number, as well as 37 rounds of 9 mm caliber pistol ammunition," the police statement said.
The police said that after collecting information and conducting consultations, the state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Ulcinj ordered that MB be deprived of her liberty on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosives.
