Budva resident BK (67) was fined a total of 1.320 euros because he drove under the influence of alcohol yesterday and caused a traffic accident by damaging public lighting.
This decision was made, as confirmed to "Vijesti" by the President of the Budva Minor Offences Court, Marko Đukanović, and by the judge of that court, Magdalena Mijić.
As "Vijesti" was told, the defendant caused a traffic accident yesterday at around 5:30 a.m. on the Adriatic Road in Bečići, by driving the vehicle at an inappropriate speed and hitting two streetlight poles on a divided island of the boulevard with the front left side.
By doing so, he committed a violation of the Road Traffic Safety Act.
Also, the police patrol determined that the man from Budva was driving the vehicle during the period of the protective measure of prohibition from driving a motor vehicle, which was imposed on him for a period of four months, and which expires on May 14 of this year.
This is another violation of the Road Traffic Safety Act.
He is charged with another offense, for driving under the influence of 1,15 per mille of alcohol in his blood, which was determined by a breathalyzer test.
The judge imposed a fine of 120 euros for the first offense, 400 euros for the second offense, and 800 euros for the third offense, making the total fine 1.320 euros.
