In the past 24 hours, police have conducted searches at several locations in Zeta and Tuzi and seized two pistols, ammunition, a ballistic vest, and armored vehicles.
As announced by the Police Directorate, during a search of the apartment and other premises used by Marko Vukčević (27) from Zeta, police officers found and seized a "Zastava" pistol with a firearms license in the name of another person, as well as 20 rounds of ammunition of various calibers.
"Two specialized (armored) vehicles, an Audi and a BMW, as well as a ballistic vest, were temporarily seized from MV," it was announced.
The police announced that Vukčević is an operationally interesting person and a member of an organized criminal group. The Police Directorate unofficially announced that Vukčević is a member of the Škaljari criminal clan.
"After collecting information, the state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica was informed of the event, who ordered that the case files be submitted to him for assessment and opinion," it was announced.
The Police Directorate also stated that during a search of the apartment and other premises used by Edin Đokaj and Kadri Đokaj in Tuzi, a "CZ Vzor 70" pistol and 57 rounds of ammunition were found, as well as certain items with records of importance for the further course of the proceedings.
"The acting state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica was informed of the event, who ordered that criminal charges be filed against K. Đ. on suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosives," it was announced.
