United Montenegro announced that it will organize a rally in support of Vesna Bratić in Podgorica on Sunday.
As announced by the party, the rally will be held in the afternoon, and the public will be informed about the schedule and content of the gathering later.
"We expect all free people to join us. This is not a party gathering, but a gathering of the fight for justice and principles... Last night, we were told by the High Court that we were putting pressure on them, and that this was unacceptable. In fact, it is about justifying an unacceptable political campaign against Vesna Bratić, led by unlustrated individuals abusing institutions and undeserved positions," said Ujedinjena president Goran Danilović.
Former Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Vesna Bratić has been ordered to be detained for up to 30 days due to the risk of flight and influencing witnesses.
Bratić was arrested on February 15th in an investigation by the Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT) for damage of at least 400.000 euros caused by the dismissal of more than 140 kindergarten, elementary and secondary school directors.
Bratić held the position of minister for just over a year - from the first post-DPS government elected on December 4, 2020, to February 4, 2022, when she was voted out of office.
In the first half of her term, she dismissed almost all school principals in Montenegro.
