The Basic State Prosecutor's Office (ODT) in Podgorica has ordered the detention of Lazar Božić, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), for up to 72 hours, due to reasonable suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of illegal carrying and possession of weapons and explosives.
"The suspect is charged with carrying a pistol with a frame containing 15 rounds of ammunition in a public place, without the appropriate permit, on the night between March 7 and 8, 2026, during a traffic control in the territory of Podgorica, as a passenger in an armored vehicle, with a factory number etched on the weapon in question," the ODT in Podgorica said in a statement.
The Police Directorate (UP) announced earlier today that LB was arrested during the blockade of Podgorica, after an alleged member of the Kavača criminal clan, Radosav Stanišić, was wounded last night, shortly after midnight.
The UP statement states that a "Walter" pistol with 15 bullets was found in the vehicle in which LB was.
According to information from "Vijesti", Stanisic reported to the Emergency Department of the Podgorica Clinical Center with a gunshot wound to the leg.
"Vijesti" learned that he refused to cooperate with the police, who, after being called by the health institution, arrived at the scene.
According to unofficial information, the police suspect that Stanišić was injured through negligence. Allegedly, two of his friends were questioned last night, who brought him to the emergency room.
