Azerbaijani citizens Elchin Musayev and Jalal Musayev were sentenced today by a first-instance verdict in the Basic Court in Podgorica to two years in prison each for the criminal offense of violent behavior.
The verdict was pronounced by Judge Borko Lončar, who also decided to impose a security measure of expulsion of a foreigner from the country on the defendants for a period of five years, counting from the date the verdict becomes final.
The court also decided to extend the defendants' detention until the verdict becomes final, and at the latest until the sentence is served.
According to the verdict, in October last year, in a group, in front of the "Komanka" bar in the Zabjelo neighborhood of Podgorica, the Musajs physically attacked Marko Jaćimović, knocking him to the ground and punching him several times with their fists, kicks and knives.

Jaćimović suffered six minor injuries on that occasion.
The court found that Jaćimović and the witnesses who were with him did not use knives, but rather threw bottles and chairs at the attackers in an attempt to help him.
The court considered the defendants' lack of prior convictions as a mitigating circumstance, while the number of injuries sustained by the injured parties, as well as their behavior after the incident - hiding and attempting to leave the country - were cited as aggravating factors.
The time they have spent in custody since November 1, 2025, will be credited towards their prison sentence.
