Criminal charges against Beranec for illegal trafficking

The police in Berane filed a criminal complaint against fellow citizen S.Ć. for illegal trafficking.

As stated in the statement of the Police Directorate, their officers, based on operational information, stopped and checked a passenger motor vehicle in Berane, driven by S.Ć. from Berane. Upon inspection of the vehicle, a certain quantity of excise goods – carbonated soft drinks, without accompanying documentation, was found.

The prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Berane was informed of the incident and stated that S.Ć.'s actions constituted elements of the criminal offense of illicit trafficking. On his orders, criminal charges were filed against the suspect in regular proceedings, the police said.

The police announced that undertaking targeted controls to combat the shadow economy and other forms of crime will continue to be the focus of officers of the Regional Security Center "North", in order to maintain a stable security environment for the life and work of our citizens.
