Martinović: The acquittal against Petar Lazović has been confirmed

Former secret agent Petar Laozović was finally acquitted of all criminal charges he was charged with before the Basic Court in Cetinje.

This was announced by his legal representative, lawyer Nikola Martinović.

He explained that the Higher Court in Podgorica confirmed the acquittal of the Basic Court in Cetinje.

According to Martinović, this indictment was represented by the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Nikšić, namely prosecutor Sofija Lukovac.

Lazović was, among other things, accused of abusing Cetinje resident Savo Lipovina.

Lipovina claimed that Lazović and his colleagues mistreated and beat him, and offered him 200.000 euros and a move to the Czech Republic if he agreed to be a protected witness against the organized crime group, the Škaljari Clan.

He claimed that he had promised him the money if he would tell what he had previously prepared for him.

Lipovina, a member of the Cetinje cell of the Škaljar clan, said this on March 15, 2024, at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Nikšić, before Prosecutor Sofija Lukovac.

He gave the statement at the time in his capacity as an injured party, in the proceedings initiated against Lazović, Ivan Đoković and several of his colleagues from the police Special Operational Support Team.

He told her that the police officers abused him in March 2020, the same day he was arrested for tax evasion.

On May 30, 2024, "Vijesti" announced that an indictment had been filed against police officers Lazović, Ivan Đoković and Neško Jeredić for the criminal offense of abuse, to the detriment of Cetinje resident Sava Lipovina.

In February 2025, Lazović claimed that he did not torture Lipovina in early 2020, and his colleagues, Neško Jaredić and Ivan Đoković, also accused of abusing Lipovina, said the same at the time.

The three then denied guilt in the Cetinje Basic Court, where they are being tried before Judge Marija Ćupić for the abuse of an alleged member of the Cetinje cell of the Škaljar clan.

According to the indictment of the Nikšić Basic State Prosecutor's Office, they abused Lipovina in March 2020, after his house was searched and he was arrested for money laundering.
