Stefanović prosecuted after being reported for "driving wildly" through the streets of Podgorica

The police processed Stefan Stefanović after a report that he was "driving wildly" through the streets of Podgorica.

Footage of Stefanović's driving was posted on social media.

In addition to being prosecuted, his vehicle was also temporarily seized.

Stefanović was one of the suspects in the case against former police inspector Dalibor Ljekočević.

He was acquitted of charges that he "cleared the way" for Ljekočević when distributing narcotics to customers.

The Police Directorate announced that the Podgorica native is listed in their records as a person of operational interest.

"Acting on an anonymous report from citizens, officers of the Podgorica Security Department identified and sanctioned a person of operational interest, SS (27) from Podgorica, for dangerous and illegal driving on the streets of the capital and endangering other road users, which was documented by video recordings published on social networks. Legal measures were taken against him for several violations of the Road Traffic Safety Act, namely: inappropriate vehicle speed, driving a vehicle in a manner that endangers traffic safety, illegal movement on the road, as well as driving a motor vehicle without a valid driver's license. Also, a passenger motor vehicle of the brand 'BMW 525', with Podgorica license plates, was temporarily seized from SS," the statement reads.

The Police Directorate thanked citizens for their responsible and partnership-based cooperation, as well as for pointing out irresponsible and dangerous drivers, "confirming that by working together we contribute to greater safety for all traffic participants and raising the level of traffic culture."
