Bojanić arrested again and sent to pretrial detention

Police officer Boro Bojanić (43) was arrested today in Danilovgrad and taken to the Remand Prison of the Administration for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions in Spuž.

As announced by the Police Directorate, the Danilovgrad police, acting on the decision of the investigating judge of the Basic Court in Podgorica ordering detention, found and deprived Bojanić of his liberty.

After being brought to the premises of the Danilovgrad Security Department, he was taken to the Spuža Remand Prison.

"Officers of the Podgorica Security Department arrested police officer BB on March 26, 2026, on suspicion of committing three criminal offenses of fraud and one criminal offense of embezzlement. He is suspected of having taken money from several injured parties on several occasions during September and October 2025 on the basis of the alleged purchase of real estate in the Municipality of Danilovgrad, misleading them that he had a power of attorney for the sale of land and mediation in the sale of real estate. In this way, he obtained unlawful material gain in the total amount of several tens of thousands of euros. He is also suspected of having appropriated a 'Toyota' vehicle that was entrusted to him for use, thereby damaging a legal entity from Podgorica for the amount of around 7.000 euros," the police announced.

It is added that on March 26, after his arrest, police officers brought Bojanić to the competent state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, who ordered his detention until he was brought before the investigating judge of the Basic Court in Podgorica.

"The competent investigating judge rejected the prosecution's proposal to order BB's detention and ordered his immediate release, and BB was therefore released. However, on March 30, 2026, the criminal panel of the Basic Court in Podgorica, acting upon the appeal of the competent prosecution, upheld the appeal in the part regarding the detention and issued a decision ordering BB's detention, which the Police acted upon, and found the person, deprived him of his liberty and took him to the UIKS," it was announced.
