Danilovgrad: Alleged OKG member taken to UIKS, tried to escape from police

Danilovgrad police arrested Jovan Pavićević (38) and took him to serve his prison sentence at the Directorate for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions (UIKS).

He was arrested on the order of the Basic Court in Nikšić for forcible transfer to serve a prison sentence of one year and two months.

The Police Directorate announced that Pavićević is a member of an organized criminal group, and that, after being located in the village of Šobajići in Danilovgrad, he tried to escape, but was prevented by police officers using force.

"The facility where this person was hiding was searched by officers from the Danilovgrad Security Department and the Nikšić Security Department in the presence of JP and JJ, who were with him. On that occasion, a small amount of the narcotic drug marijuana, two grinders with traces of this substance, as well as several items - communication devices, were found," the police announced.

The competent state prosecutor's office in Podgorica was informed about the activities undertaken, after which Pavićević was taken to the UIKS prison by officers of the Danilovgrad Security Department to serve his prison sentence, and after an expert examination of the found substance, a report will be filed against him in accordance with the Law on Prevention of Drug Abuse.

Danilovgrad police today conducted a targeted check in the town of Prentina Glavica of a person of operational interest, D. Đ. (41) from Danilovgrad, who at the time of the check, as announced by the police, was in the passenger seat of a parked Audi.

"During the inspection, a starter pistol and an axe were found in the vehicle, which were seized from him by order of the prosecutor, and the vehicle in question was also seized for more detailed checks, and D. Đ. was brought to the official premises of the Danilovgrad Security Department. The prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica was informed of the incident, on whose order information was collected from this person, after which the acting state prosecutor ordered an appropriate medical examination of this person in a medical institution," it was announced.

After the actions taken, officers of the Danilovgrad Security Department issued D. Đ. a misdemeanor warrant for a violation of the Weapons Law, it was announced.
