Police officers Boro Bojanić (44) and Miloš Đurišić are suspected of abusing their official position by passing official information to persons of operational interest (OIL).

As announced by the Police Directorate, criminal charges have been filed against them.

"Officers of the Podgorica Security Department, undertaking activities to prevent illegalities and prove the commission of criminal offenses within their own ranks, and acting in accordance with operational findings, implemented a series of measures and actions that resulted in the filing of criminal charges against two police officers, M.Đ (31) and BB (44), on suspicion of committing criminal offenses of abuse of official position," the police announced.

They add that it is suspected that Đurišić and Bojanić, in separate cases, through contact with OIL from Podgorica, transmitted official data during the same period:

"By which they could potentially jeopardize the successful implementation of police measures and actions in certain cases, and all of which negatively reflects on the reputation of the Police Directorate, which they undermined with their illegal actions," it was announced.

It is suspected that Đurišić, using his official position, influenced the fact that people close to him were not sanctioned, thus enabling them to acquire illegal material benefits.

"In addition to the criminal charges filed, the Police Directorate will, due to the above, initiate internal proceedings against M.Đ. and BB in accordance with the law," it was announced.
