Russian citizen EK (47), for whom Moscow's Interpol has issued an international arrest warrant, was arrested in Budva.

She was arrested in a joint operation by Podgorica Interpol and the Budva Security Department.

An international arrest warrant for EK was issued based on an order from the Stavropol Regional Court to conduct criminal proceedings against her.

"This proceeding is being conducted against her due to reasonable suspicion that she committed the criminal offense of fraud on a large scale by using an official position, which is punishable by up to 10 years in prison," the Police Directorate announced.

They said that the EC will be conducted within the legally prescribed time limit before the investigating judge of the Higher Court in Podgorica.
