The Berane police have filed one criminal and five misdemeanor charges for drug abuse, the Police Directorate said.
It is alleged that the Berane police raided a restaurant owned by a member of an organized crime group from that city.
"On that occasion, two small PVC packages were found, one containing a green substance suspected to be marijuana and one containing a powdery white substance suspected to be cocaine," the statement said.
It is added that, upon the order of the acting prosecutor at the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Bijelo Polje, who is aware of the incident, the seized material was sent for appropriate expert examination.
"After completing the investigation, it was determined that a member of an organized crime group - S. Đ. (30) - is connected to this matter. A criminal complaint has been filed against him on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of unauthorized production, possession and distribution of drugs," the police said.
They stated that the Berane police filed misdemeanor charges against five people - EL (22) from Plav, MP (20), IL (39) and MK (21) from Berane and V. Đ. (31) for violations of the Law on the Prevention of Drug Abuse.
