Baranin Miloš Joković (38), who was wanted by Interpol Podgorica, surrendered to the police today.
The Police Directorate announced that MJ was a member of a criminal organization, which is suspected of committing two criminal offenses of aggravated murder, namely - Andrija Gazivoda on February 17, 2020 and Petar Muhadinović, on the night of February 26/27, 2020.
It was announced that MJ had surrendered to police officers.
"NCB Interpol Podgorica was searching for MJ with an international arrest warrant dated 07.03.2023, when this arrest warrant was issued for him based on the order of the Higher Court in Podgorica, with the consent of the Ministry of Justice of Montenegro. He was wanted in order to ensure his presence in the criminal proceedings being conducted against him before the Higher Court in Podgorica, on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of creating a criminal organization," it was announced.
After being taken to the Podgorica Security Center, Joković was taken to UIKS, because he was remanded in custody by a decision of the Higher Court in Podgorica.
The Special Chamber of the Higher Court, presided over by Judge Amir Đokaj, delivered the first-instance verdict in early February against the defendants for the murders of Gazivoda and Muhadinović in Cetinje.
The High Court sentenced the defendants, Vladan Radoman and others, to a total of 105 years in prison for the murders of Gazivoda and Muhadinović, the creation of a criminal organization, and the sale of marijuana.
"The defendant Joković voluntarily surrendered to the police today and made himself available to the competent authorities for further action. He was sentenced in the first instance to a prison sentence of four years for the criminal offense of creating a criminal organization. He was tried in absentia. The written copy of the first instance verdict is still pending, which we will appeal, given that according to the defense, Joković has no connection to the crime and event in question," said lawyer Maja Turković.
Defendant Nikola Martinović, who is on the run, was sentenced to a long-term prison sentence of 40 years for creating a criminal organization, murder by aiding and abetting, and aggravated murder as an accomplice. He was sentenced to a total of 59 years in prison for three separate crimes.
Vladan Radoman, who is on the run, was sentenced to 10 years in prison for creating a criminal organization.
Ilija Ivanović, who is on the run, to 18 years for aggravated murder by incitement and creation of a criminal organization.
Velibor Stanišić, who is on the run, was sentenced to a single sentence of 20 years in prison for creating a criminal organization and aggravated murder by incitement.
Ilija Milanović was sentenced to seven years in prison for marijuana smuggling and creating a criminal organization.
Miloš Joković was sentenced to four years in prison, as was Stevan Đurišić, for membership in a criminal organization.
Mitar Milanović was sentenced to two years in prison for selling marijuana. He was acquitted of the charge of membership in a criminal organization because it was not proven.
Filip Ivanović and Boban Sjekloća, who were also among the defendants, were killed in criminal clashes before the verdict was pronounced.
The Special State Prosecutor's Office has filed charges against a ten-member criminal organization led by Vladan Radoman and FI (Filip Ivanović), who was killed in Belgrade on October 16, 2025, for the murders of Andrija Gazivoda and Petar Muhadinović in Cetinje in 2020. The defendants are also charged with planning the murders of Vaso Gazivoda, the father of the late Andrija, Miloš Jovanovć, Kić Paović, and Aleksandar Jabučanin.
Andrija Gazivoda was murdered on February 17, 2020, and the SDT named the now deceased Filip Ivanović and Velibor Stanišić as co-perpetrators of the murder, while Nikola Martinović and Boban Sjekloća were accused of aiding and abetting.
Then, on February 27, 2020, Petar Muhadinović, a resident of Cetinje, was killed by a bomb placed under the vehicle he was driving. Filip Ivanović and Nikola Martinović are charged with the aggravated murder of Muhadinović. The Special Prosecutor's Office's indictment includes, in addition to Radoman, Ivanović, Stanišić, Martinović and Sjekloća, Ilija Ivanović, Mitar and Ilija Milanović, Stevan Đurišić and Miloš Joković.
As stated in the SDT document, the defendant Stanišić acquired an unknown brand of 9-millimeter pistol from an unknown person at the end of 2019 and gave it to Filip Ivanović, who for several months practiced target shooting with an unknown member of this criminal organization nicknamed "Karlito", while Martinović and Sjekloća monitored his movements in the days preceding the Gazivoda murder and informed the other members of the group about everything, who were supposed to determine the time and place of the liquidation.
“The indictment of the special state prosecutor Sanja Jovićević states that in the second half of 2019, in Cetinje, the defendants Radoman and Filip Ivanović formed a criminal organization, the aim of which is to commit criminal offenses for which a prison sentence of 4 years or a more severe punishment can be imposed by law, to which organization they personally or through other members of the criminal organization recruited members of the criminal organization. The criminal organization was formed to acquire illegal profit and power, while the activities of the criminal organization were planned for an unlimited period of time, with the application of precisely defined rules of internal control and discipline of members, with each member of the criminal organization having a predetermined task and role, and the use of intimidation and violence was planned in the activities of the criminal organization. The defendants Radoman and Filip Ivanović, as organizers of the criminal organization, drew up a criminal plan to commit an unspecified number of criminal offenses: murder under Article 143 of the Criminal Code of Montenegro and aggravated murder under Article 144 of the Criminal Code of Montenegro, and determined for themselves to plan the execution "criminal offenses, give instructions and orders to members of the criminal organization to commit criminal offenses, determine persons who should be deprived of life, and through encrypted communication give instructions to other members of the criminal organization in relation to monitoring persons who have been determined to be deprived of life. By doing so, the defendants Radoman and Filip Ivanović committed the criminal offense of creating a criminal organization under Article 401a, paragraph 1, in conjunction with paragraph 6 of the Criminal Code of Montenegro, and the other defendants committed the criminal offense of creating a criminal organization under Article 401a, paragraph 2, in conjunction with paragraphs 1 and 6 of the Criminal Code of Montenegro," the indictment states.
In order to implement the criminal plan, the defendants Filip Ivanović, Velibor Stanišić, Nikola Martinović and Boban Sjekloća, in the second half of 2019, until February 17, 2020, on Grahovska Street in Cetinje, by prior agreement and together, committed the murder of an unidentified member of a criminal organization with the nickname "K.", and the defendants Stanišić and Filip Ivanović, with intent, significantly contributed to the commission of the criminal offense, in which the defendants Martinović and Sjekloća intentionally helped them in the commission of the criminal offense.
In the way that the defendant Stanišić acquired a pistol of an unknown brand, caliber 9 mm, from an unknown person, and this unknown person, together with the ammunition, cleaned the weapon, together with the ammunition, in order to remove biological traces, and handed the cleaned pistol and ammunition over to the defendant Stanišić, who tested the pistol to check its correctness. After he was convinced that the weapon was correct, he handed it over to the defendant Ivanović F., who then handed the pistol over to an unknown member of the criminal organization with the nickname "K.", and together with him practiced target shooting and trained this person to handle firearms. While the defendants Martinović and Sjekloća, in the days preceding the murder of Gazivoda Andrija, continuously monitored the movements of the injured party and informed other members of the criminal organization of his whereabouts and where he was going.
As stated in the indictment, all in order to accurately determine the time and place of the commission of the criminal offense. On February 17, 2020, in the evening, an unknown person with the nickname "K.", after being informed of the location of the injured party Gazivoda, waited for his arrival and when he arrived and got into his "Volvo" vehicle, which was located in front of the Sports Center in Cetinje, approached the vehicle from the left side and from a pistol of an unknown brand, fired at least 15 projectiles that hit Gazivoda in the upper part of the body, resulting in the death of the injured party due to the injuries he sustained. As a result, the defendants Ivanović F. and Stanišić, as co-perpetrators, committed the criminal offense of murder under Article 143 in conjunction with Article 23 of the Criminal Code of Montenegro, and the defendants Martinović and Sjekloća, the criminal offense of murder by aiding and abetting. On February 27, 2020, in Cetinje, the defendant Martinović killed the injured party Petar Muhadinović, intentionally endangering the lives of other persons, and the defendant Ivanović F., by implementing a joint decision with another act, intentionally significantly contributed to the commission of the criminal offense of aggravated murder...
