In separate cases, the police in Nikšić located and arrested persons of operational interest, RP (42) and IT (44), who were wanted at the national level.
"Operationally interesting person RP (42) from Nikšić, who was wanted pursuant to an order of the Basic Court in Nikšić for serving a six-month prison sentence, was located and deprived of liberty by members of the Nikšić police, and taken to UIKS to serve the aforementioned prison sentence," the Police Directorate said in a statement.
It is added that a person wanted by order of the Higher Court in Podgorica was also arrested.
"Namely, a person of operational interest, IT (44) from Nikšić, was deprived of his liberty in order to ensure his presence in the criminal proceedings being conducted against him before the aforementioned Court on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of criminal association," the police said.
He was brought to the Higher Court in Podgorica for further jurisdiction.
