Criminal charges filed against Podgorica resident for gravel exploitation

The police in Podgorica have filed a criminal complaint against fellow citizen AS (54), who is suspected of committing the criminal offense of unauthorized exploitation of gravel and damage during the exploitation of river sediment.

He is suspected of carrying out unauthorized exploitation of gravel and river sediment in the town of Grbavci, using a work machine - an excavator, without license plates, the police said.

The police statement states that their officers, in cooperation with other relevant entities, continue with intensified coordinated activities aimed at preventing the commission of criminal offenses and misdemeanors related to illegal gravel exploitation, as well as an intensive fight against all types of environmental crime and the devastation of Montenegro's natural resources in order to preserve the environment and ensure compliance with legal regulations.
