A Podgorica resident took a large amount of money and personal belongings from a foreign citizen's vehicle in Kamenovo, and was ordered to be detained.

Budva police arrested a Podgorica resident, BL (53), on suspicion of committing aggravated theft in Kamenovo last summer, after breaking into a foreign citizen's car.

As confirmed to "Vijesti" by the police, he was taken to the Kotor prosecutor's office with a criminal complaint for aggravated theft, who ordered him to be detained for up to 72 hours.

The investigating judge of the Kotor Basic Court, Špiro Pavicevic, heard the defendant in the presence of his defense attorney, accepted the prosecutor's proposal and ordered detention for up to 30 days.

Along with the criminal complaint, the police also submitted evidence that a Podgorica resident took a large amount of money and personal belongings from a foreign citizen's car in Kamenovo last summer in June.

Otherwise, he is a multiple repeat offender in committing property crimes (theft and aggravated theft).
