Almost 200 grams of marijuana seized, four people prosecuted in Budva, Nikšić and Pljevlja

Police officers from Budva, Nikšić and Pljevlja seized almost 200 grams of marijuana, a smaller amount of amphetamine and a tablet from the list of opiates. Three people will be held criminally liable and one person will be charged with a misdemeanor, the Police Directorate (UP) announced.

As they said, officers from the Nikšić Security Department checked the vehicle driven by PB while two seventeen-year-olds were in the vehicle as passengers, and on that occasion four small PVC packages containing the narcotic drug marijuana were found.

"These individuals were brought to official premises, further checks and criminal processing were carried out, and it was determined that the seized narcotics belonged to one of the minors," the statement said.

The UP said that the prosecutor at the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica was informed of the incident and ordered that criminal charges be filed against the 17-year-old on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of unauthorized production, possession and distribution of narcotic drugs.

In addition, officers of the Pljevlja Security Department, as part of the aforementioned intensified activities in this area, searched the apartment and other premises used by R.Š. from that city.

"During the search, a green plant substance weighing 87,1 grams was found and confiscated, which was determined to be the narcotic drug marijuana. After consultation with the prosecutor at the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Bijelo Polje, criminal charges were filed against R.Š. on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of unauthorized production, possession and distribution of narcotic drugs. This person is already serving a sentence of house arrest for other criminal offenses," they announced.

Also, they say, Budva police officers prosecuted one person for drug abuse.

"A person named DG (28) was reported to the Budva Security Department for domestic violence. Police officers went to the scene where, near the premises where this person was staying, they found a PVC package containing green plant matter suspected of being the narcotic drug marijuana, weighing a total of 46,5 grams, loose plant matter also suspected of being the narcotic drug marijuana, weighing about 4,5 grams, as well as a handmade cigarette containing this substance," they said.

DG was arrested by order of the prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Kotor on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of domestic violence or violence in a family community.

They also added that a search of the apartment and other premises he uses found another 42,6 grams of marijuana, a precision weighing scale, and a grinder.

"A criminal complaint was filed against him at the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, on the basis of the prosecutor's order, on suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of unauthorized production, possession and distribution of narcotic drugs," the statement said.

They also add that the Budva police have filed a misdemeanor charge against KP (23), a citizen of the Republic of Serbia, who, during a police check, threw away a small package containing the narcotic drug amphetamine, as well as a tablet from the list of opiates.

The UP also said that, during an examination of this person in the official premises, traces of plant matter suspected to be the narcotic drug marijuana were found, and that she was arrested for a violation of the Law on the Prevention of Drug Abuse.
