During intensified activities in the Nikšić area, the police inspected a residential building owned by fugitive police officer Ljubo Milović (43) from Nikšić, in the town of Grahovo.
The Police Directorate announced that officers from the Nikšić Security Department and the Regional Border Police Center "Centar" - Nikšić Border Police Station, taking targeted operational measures, also controlled a catering facility in that town.
The activities, as they state, were also aimed at locating members of organized crime groups who are on the run, internationally wanted persons, as well as at controlling persons of operational interest and those connected to them.
The police announced that criminal charges will be filed against VJ (48), who they say is a person close to Milović, after an expert examination determined that the "Evo" truck, which was previously seized from him, had a forged chassis number.
By order of the Basic Court in Nikšić, four locations used by persons of operational interest and those close to them – AR (18), BP (28), MR (18) and ZM (63) – were also searched. BP's high-class BMW was seized for further checks.
As part of the same activities, the police in Nikšić conducted raids on six slot machine clubs - casinos, where 47 people were checked.
"Three foreign citizens were found who did not have a properly registered residence on the territory of Montenegro and they were handed over to the inspector for foreigners for further action," the police announced.
In Pljevlja, raids were carried out in four catering establishments, where 35 people were checked.
"A decision was made on the voluntary return of a citizen of the Republic of Turkey, with a measure of banning entry and a misdemeanor order issued. Then, two misdemeanor orders were issued to citizens of Azerbaijan for not possessing personal documents, and three temporary residence and work permits were seized from these persons," the police said.
During the traffic and citizen control, 835 vehicles and 1.028 drivers were checked. 14 drivers were arrested, eight of whom were for driving under the influence of alcohol and six for driving under the influence of psychoactive substances.
"16 persons of operational interest were checked, two of whom were sanctioned, and a BMW passenger vehicle was seized from PD (21) for further checks, while six vehicles were removed from traffic," it was announced.
